VINTAGE CHARACTERISTICS
After a rainy, damp and cold winter, March heralded a sudden change in direction, with a significant increase in temperatures reaching levels considerably higher than average. This trend continued in April with extreme heat waves during the first 10 days. The vines reacted immediately by budding earlier than usual and flowering rapidly thereafter. Temperatures reverted to the norm in June and continued through to the first 10 days of July, followed by unusually cool temperatures in the second half of the month. This troubled and unpredictable weather pattern did not, however, negatively impact on the healthy condition of the grapes and produced an interesting vintage with rich, intense aromas.

TASTING NOTES
Colour
Bright straw yellow, invigorated by a very fine and persistent perlage.
Bouquet
Fresh and abundantly fruity nose, with aromas of apple, pear, apricot and pineapple with citrus notes in the finish, tapering into the scent of wild flowers.
Palate
Well structured: soft but at the same time dry, due to a marked degree of acidity. Harmonious on the palate, with a long and lingering finale.
Food Pairings
Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs well with appetizers such as raw fish, fish soups such as caciucco and seafood. It is also ideal with asparagus risotto, pasta with fish sauces and vegetable soups. It makes an original accompaniment to fresh cheeses or desserts such as dairy ice-creams, tropical fruit, dry pastries and fruit flans.
